Structural Tower & Mount Analysis
We have a clear understanding of the latest standards and can support telecom tower owners and construction organisations comply quickly and efficiently with the latest loading and structural strength requirements for Mount Analysis.
Structural Mount Analysis Method
Loading - Antennas, tower-mounted equipment, pipe mounts, man weight, mount members
Mappings - Include elevation of mount, dimensions of members, size/fitment location of pipe mounts, tower joint/connection details, pipe mount connection details, mount loading
Sufficiency Criteria - Primary and secondary members, pipe mounts, stabilizer arms, connections
Conditional Passing - Solutions to strategically move equipment resulting in a passing analysis to avoid the cost of modifications
Modifications - Feasibility assessment for replacement of pipe mounts, addition of kickers to provide vertical stabilization and/or stabilizer arms to provide horizontal rigidity, mount replacement
Software Required for Analysis and Result Data Management – STAAD Pro, RISA 3D, AutoCAD , Excel
Structural Mount Analysis Steps
Step 1 MAPPING & DOCUMENTATION Mounting information will be required from the client side. The report will contain the essential information/data to perform a mount analysis such as mount geometry, existing loading, and location.
Step 2 MODELLING & ANALYSING In this step, designer creates line model of the mount, applies loading, and calculates member and connection forces and capacities – all while upholding the current standards enforced in that region.
Step 3 EVALUATION & REPORTING For evaluation, solver feature is used in RISA-3D and STAAD Pro both. The analysis results are clearly communicated and defined/summarized in the client’s report to help expedite any additional steps if necessary.
Step 4 REPEAT ANALYSING After each modification, the line model is changed to the match the new parameters whether it is any dimensional change, material change or relocating equipment and evaluation is done once again by running solver on new model.
Step 5 MODIFICATION With our expertise in mount analysis, Dimensioni will deliver the most cost-effective solution to customers, whether that be as simple as relocating equipment, adding more steel or replacing the mount altogether.
